Perhaps I shouldn't look at sharepoint and I should be looking at google drive, dropbox, box etc. I'd prefer not saying each user needs 1TB because no user needs that but the company need a central shared drive of at least 3TB and if that is possible I'd like to know what licensing I would need. It won't matter how much each user gets that is dedicated to them but how large a central storage location is. Personal storage is an afterthought, but a large central group storage location is key. To be clear, I'll need a centralized store of at leas 3TB and this is a small company. I'm not putting down your response just MS's opinion that 10gb has any meaning any more, unless you we are talking personal storage. In this case, Microsoft handles all of the low level maintenance on your behalf. Azure Files functions similarly to an on premises file server, except that there is no server to manage. Azure Files, on the other hand, is a fully managed, cloud-based file server. Is there a way of stating that for a group of 10 people there is a centralized store with a max capacity of x TB? Or you can buy a 10TB store for X dollars? There is no way normal companies would buy in 10gb quantities IMHO unless this were 1996. A SharePoint site is often used to store documents and other files. Thanks - I'm unclear on the org part each org has 1TB? Please Accept it as an answer and " Up-Vote" the answer or message(s) that helped you so that it can help others in the community looking for help on similar topics For anything else you can use Azure Files which is a managed Files Server and optionally you can use it with Azure File Sync so that you can do some Cloud Tiering for File Server that are on-prem.Each Org has 1 TB of online storage plus 10 GB per license purchased. SharePoint is mostly used for documents that belongs to departments, teams, organization etc. With most if not all Microsoft 365 plan, each users are entitled to 1TB of online storage. It can also be shared with other people on occasional basis and it's possible to define some policies around that. OneDrive: OneDrive should mostly be used for files that will mostly be used, accessed or edited by the owner.Couple of things that I hope will help you.
